Thaipusam

Thaipusam is a Hindu festival observed by the Tamil community on the full moon during the Tamil month of Thai, and you’ll see Singapore’s Little India bustling with festivities. This festival will see devotees showing their devotion to the Hindu deity, Lord Murugan by carrying milk pots along Serangoon Road to Tank Road.On this day, male devotees also attach spiked Kavadis on their shoulders as an act of faith.

Retrolicious

The boys are back! This February, Tommy Page, All-4-One and Color Me Badd return to Singapore with the Loved-Up edition of Retrolicious™ 2015. Terry Fox Run Singapore 2015

Huayi — Chinese Festival of the Arts

Aesop's Fables

Here’s a great event for the kids. Remember stories like “The Jay and the Peacock”, “The Lion and the Mouse”, “The Goose who Laid Golden Eggs”? You can see these stories and more retold at Raffles Hotel’s Jubilee Hall this month. Recommended for three to 13 year olds and their families, Aesop’s Fables will show and tell a selection of some of Aesop’s most famous stories through masks, puppetry, live action and songs.

Chingay Parade 2015

The Chingay Parade is back, and it’s once again time for a grand display of parades, costumes and masquerade. This year’s Chingay will feature a gigantic flower bed made from one million flowers – all handcrafted by Singaporeans and households from used plastic bags.The flowers represent love and well-wishes for the nation. Another highlight is the Grand Finale entitled “Trees of Hope, Singapore Dreams” that will showcase 150 trees, all of which bear messages of hopes and dreams of a better future for Singapore.
