Warriors and Witches

This is Shakespeare, but not as you know it. The Bard’s classic play Macbeth gets a Chinese opera make-over in this Hokkien version, Warriors and Witches. Adapted by the Jade Opera Troupe and scripted by noted Chinese director and scholar Dr Chua Soo Pong, this different take on one of the world’s most famous plays is a must for Shakespeare aficionados and Chinese opera fans alike. Don’t be afraid if you’re Hokkien skills are not up to scratch as Mandarin and English subtitles will be displayed.

Glass Anatomy – The Musical

Based on the massively successful 1980s Taiwanese film Papa, Can You Hear Me Sing?, this is Chinese musical theatre at its most extravagant. 12 years in the making, the producers have gathered the best talent from China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Thailand, Argentina and Singapore to create a massive spectacle that’s not to be missed. Starring in the show is Mandarin pop sensation Ding Dang in her first leading role whose take on all the classic music from the original film is sure to blow the audience away.

‘Allo ‘Allo Live on Stage
