Flower displays, concerts, stand-up comedy and – of course – the National Day Parade are all happening this month of August!


Orchid Extravaganza at Gardens by the Bay

Singapore’s love affair with the beautiful orchid knows no bounds. You may already know the Vanda Miss Joaquim, which is Singapore’s national flower, but did you know there are more species of orchids in the world than the number of bird species or even mammal species? Visit the Flower Dome and see over 12,000 orchid plants arranged in a stunning display.

Soak Out Water Party at Universal Studios Singapore

It’s the last week of the Soak Out Water Party at Universal Studios Singapore! Don’t miss the chance to take part in this giant water fight – but do remember to bring a change of clothes and waterproof your cameras and phones! There’s even an after party on selected dates where you can expect DJ Inquisitive on the mixer and local band The Good Karma belting out some 90’s tunes.

Peppa Pig Live! Big Splash

If your little ones are Peppa Pig fans, this is one event they won’t want to miss! This wildly popular procine family is in Singapore live for the first time in an interactive musical. The nursery roof is leaking, and Peppa and her friends need to fix it! Join Peppa, George, Mummy and Daddy Pig, Danny Dog, Pedro Pony and Suzy Sheep as they organise a fete to raise money. They’ll need your to help make sure everything goes smoothly!

National Day

Singapore is turning 51! And of course, the annual National Day Parade is here. ‪#‎NDP2016 is being held at the National Stadium instead of The Float @ Marina Bay or the Padang – meaning there’s a whopping 55,000 seat capacity this year. Did you manage to get tickets? No? That’s all right, you can still watch the parade on TV or view the fireworks live! Keep checking back and we’ll let you know where the best places to catch the fireworks so you can head down and chope (reserve) your space on 9 August.‬‬‬

Charlie Puth Nine Track Mind Tour 2016

Singer-songwriter Charlie Puth catapulted to fame in 2011 when his cover of Adele’s “Someone Like You” went viral, and he was invited to appear on Ellen DeGeneres’ talk show. Since then, he’s released hit after hit such as Marvin Gaye, featuring guest vocals from Meghan Trainor; See You Again, which was used in the Furious 7 soundtrack as a tribute to actor Paul Walker; and One Call Away, his highest charting single as a lead artist to date.

Dick Lee Singapop! 60th Birthday Concert

The inaugural edition of The Icon Series, Dick Lee’s Singapop! concert is the first in a new initiative that was put in motion last year to preserve and celebrate our Singapore music heritage by fostering knowledge of and affection for Singapore music among the young and the community. As an iconic local singer and songwriter, it is only fitting that the first edition features Cultural Medallion recipient Dick Lee.
